She slowly approached her best friend Tamaki, who was sitting in his desk, swarmed by girls. Of course he was always, but this time, they were shoving gifts into his hands. It was February 14, Valentine's day.

As she approached, the other girls saw her and slowly dispersed. It paid to be an Ootori.

     "Ah! Izumi-chan!" Tamaki beamed, seeing her at his desk, "How are you?"
     "Good. So, um...Kyoya-chan and I never told you about today, and the day that's one month from now, did we?" she fidgeted her arms, which were holding something behind her back.
     "No. Why, what's today?"
      "The 14th...Valentine's Day..."

Tamaki beamed, "Ah, back in France, we celebrated this grandly, giving gifts to people we admired from afar and such...oh, that explains all of these gifts, now doesn't it?" he chuckled, "I was very confused! Thank you for clearing it up!"

Izumi nodded, continuing, "And one month from now, March 14, is White Day."
Tamaki tilted his head to the side, "What's that?"
"Well, on Valentine's day, it's customary for girls to give chocolate to boys. Depending on the boy, it can be honmei-choko--chocolate of love--or giri-choko--courtesy chocolate. Honmei is given to boys that a girl has special feelings for, while giri is for boys that girls are close to, but, have no romantic feelings for...
And on White Day, March 14, the boys return the favor by getting the girls gifts also..."

Tamaki's eyes sparkled, "That sounds so romantic!"
Izumi found herself smiling at that, "Yes, it is..."
"So...do you have a boy to give chocolate to?" Tamaki asked.
Izumi looked back at the box in her hands, then looked back at Tamaki, "Yes..."
"Really?"

She nodded, and slowly handed the box out to him, "Happy Valentine's Day, Tamaki-chan..." she smiled.

Tamaki stared at the box. A grin started up his face and he took the box happily.
"Thank you! This is the best gift I could've gotten!" he said, disregarding the girls staring in disbelief.

Then, Kyoya suddenly appeared behind Izumi, "Well, since you had to give it HIM..." he sighed, disappointed, and pointed to Tamaki.
"I expect you to give my sister a great gift next month for White Day! Remember, sanbai gaeshi!!* So, you'd better make it good."

"Of course, Kyoya!!" Tamaki nodded, "Of course!"
